New Delhi, 26 Oct: Uttarakhand Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Rekha Gupta in New Delhi. On this occasion, Minister Joshi presented a bouquet and House of Himalayas products to the Chief Minister. The Minister also extended an invitation to the Chief Minister to visit Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.
Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi informed the Chief Minister that, in view of the high production of seasonal fruits in Uttarakhand, there is a need for space in New Delhi for establishing cold storage facilities. The Chief Minister assured him positive action in this regard.
During the meeting, Minister Joshi also briefed the Chief Minister about the House of Himalayas products being produced by women self-help groups under the Uttarakhand government. He apprised her of the initiatives for promoting handicrafts and organic products from the hill regions of the state. He also presented products made by the Centre for Aromatic Plants to the Chief Minister.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta extended her best wishes to Minister Ganesh Joshi for his commendable efforts toward women’s empowerment and the promotion of local products in Uttarakhand.
