Nainital, 26 Oct: Under the aegis of the Indian Golf Union (IGU), the Uttaranchal Golf Federation successfully organised the IGU North Zone Feeder Tour Cum Inter-School Golf Tournament from 24 to 26 October at the picturesque Raj Bhawan Golf Course, here.
A total of 40 junior golfers from various parts of North India — including Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh, and Haryana — participated in the event.
Uttarakhand golfers showcased their impressive talent and clinched several prizes, raising strong hopes that the state will perform remarkably well in upcoming national and international golf tournaments.
Among the top performers from Uttarakhand were: Samriddh Chand Thakur – Winner (Category B); Aarav Sandhu – Runner-Up (Category A); Ananya Shah – 2nd Runner-Up (Category C); Rushank Pratap Singh – 2nd Runner-Up (Category E); Snitik Chand Thakur – 4th Position (Category E).
The tournament aimed to promote junior golf in Uttarakhand and to provide young golfers with a platform to compete at higher levels under the guidance of IGU and Uttaranchal Golf Federation.
