Dehradun, 16 Dec: Professor Durgesh Pant, Director General of the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST), has been conferred the “Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman 2025” by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI).
Pant received the honour for his ‘outstanding leadership in science, research, and innovation for elevating Devbhoomi Uttarakhand to new heights of scientific progress and technical development, and for his unique contributions to fostering a culture of scientific research and investigation among the youth’.
The award was presented to him in Dehradun during the National Convention of the PRSI held from 13 to 15 December, by PRSI National President Ajit Pathak and Secretary General PLK Murthy, along with Ritu Khanduri, Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, and Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, former Union Cabinet Minister for Education.
The Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) remains a premier organisation in the country for public relations across government, corporate, and media sectors, actively contributing since 1958. It currently operates 25 chapters with over 5,000 active members across various states.
