CM inspects Agniveer Training Centre in Doon, interacts with aspirants

Dehradun, 19 Dec: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today inspected the Agniveer recruitment training centre being run at the Provincial Guard Directorate in Raipur, here by the Youth Welfare and Provincial Guard Department in coordination with the Sports Department. During the visit, he reviewed the training arrangements in detail and announced that similar inspections would be conducted at the Agniveer training centres in every district during his tours.

On this occasion, the CM also interacted directly with youths preparing for Agniveer recruitment and sought feedback on their training experience, daily routine and challenges. He also enquired about the facilities they felt are required to further improve the training environment. Dhami also reviewed physical training sessions, running practice, sports activities and basic infrastructure at the centre, and directed officials to ensure that all facilities provided to trainees met high quality standards.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said the state government is providing free and quality training to Agniveer aspirants so that they can appear for recruitment with confidence and a strong sense of discipline. Boosting the morale of the trainees, he also participated in sports activities with them and encouraged them to move forward with hard work, discipline and positive thinking.

He said the Agniveer scheme is a golden opportunity for the country’s youth, enabling them to serve the nation while also becoming self-reliant. He added that military training at a young age strengthens both physical and mental capabilities and equipped youths with skills useful for future employment and self-employment. Senior officials of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department including Special Principal Secretary Amit Sinha were present during the inspection.
