Dehradun, 26 Dec: BJP’s national general secretary and leader in charge of party affairs in Uttarakhand, Dushyant Kumar Gautam has expressed anguish over repeated attempts to question his integrity and character, asserting that honesty, dedication and moral conduct have remained the core of his political and social life. In a social media post today, Gautam said his inner pain had found expression in words and expressed confidence that people would understand his anguish and stand firmly with him in his fight for justice against injustice.
Gautam has also warned of defamation action against those who are attempting to tarnish his image.
The statement comes amid an ongoing political controversy in Uttarakhand, in which Congress leaders have allegedly made claims naming and blaming Gautam in connection with the Ankita Bhandari case. Gautam has consistently rejected these allegations, stating that he has no connection with the case and that that the matter is under judicial consideration. He has also warned that he would initiate defamation proceedings against people and the parties attempting to falsely involve his name in the case and damage his public image.
