Dehradun, 29 Dec: BJP leader Ravindra Jugran met Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, today, and requested that all B.Ed. Bridge Course candidates be granted permission to apply for the post of Primary Teacher. Taking cognisance of the matter, the Education Minister directed the Secretary, School Education, to take the necessary action.

During the meeting, Ravindra Jugran informed the minister that the Supreme Court, in its order dated 21 November 2025, had directed that 169 candidates be allowed to be included for appointment as Primary Teachers. He stated that although the Supreme Court, in its decision, allowed the inclusion of Bridge Course holders, it was also clearly mentioned that this was an interim relief, which would remain subject to the final decision of the Court.

Ravindra Jugran urged the Education Department to take a sympathetic and lawful approach in the interest of the affected candidates and ensure appropriate action in accordance with the court’s directions.
