Dehradun, 12 Jan: Students of Graphic Era took out a rally appealing to people to adopt Swadeshi products and contribute to nation building.
On the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, a conference and pledge rally was organised at Graphic Era Deemed University today. During the conference, Vice Chancellor Dr Narpinder Singh urged students to imbibe the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda.
NSS Nodal Officer Dr AS Shukla highlighted the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and emphasised the importance of adopting Swadeshi to make the country self-reliant.
A large number of students and teachers participated in the pledge rally organised on this occasion. The rally started from the university campus, passed through various areas of Clement Town with slogans like “Adopt Swadeshi, Build the Nation” and patriotic chants, and concluded back at the university campus.
The rally was organised by the NSS Unit of Graphic Era Deemed University. Registrar Dr Naresh Kumar Sharma, along with Dr Girish Lakheda, Dr Pawan Kumar, Dr Sanjay Taneja, Dr Kartikeya Raina, other faculty members, and students were present in the rally.
