Mussoorie, 12 Jan: On the occasion of National Youth Day and the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi paid floral tributes and offered a garland at the statue of Swami Vivekananda installed at Kishanpur Tirahe on Mussoorie Road.
During the programme organised to mark National Youth Day, participants of a dance performance—Chandni, Smriti, Muskan, Kajal, and Rupa—were honoured by the Agriculture Minister with certificates and medals in recognition of their performance.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi said that the thoughts and teachings of Swami Vivekananda continue to be a source of inspiration for today’s youth. He urged young people to imbibe Swami Vivekananda’s ideals and play an active role in nation-building. The Minister stated that Swami Vivekananda conveyed the message of Indian culture, inner strength, and selfless service to the entire world, which will always remain a guiding force.
Those present on the occasion included Mandal President Rajeev Gurung, President of Ramakrishna Ashram Swami Asimatmanand, Acharya Vipin Joshi, Poonam Nautiyal, Surendra Rana, Manjeet Rawat, Sanjay Nautiyal, Mohit Agarwal, Devendra Rawat, and many others.
