Dehradun, 20 Jan: Five officers working as Deputy Directors in the School Education Department have been promoted and assigned new responsibilities as Joint Directors. Similarly, four officers promoted from the post of Block Education Officer have been posted as Deputy Directors. In addition, Joint Director–level officers posted in various districts have also been given additional charge against vacant posts. The posting proposal submitted by the government in this regard has been approved by the departmental minister, Dr Dhan Singh Rawat.
Recently, following the completion of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), more than half a dozen officers at the Deputy Director level were promoted. These include Atreya Sayana, Ashutosh Bhandari, Nagendra Bartwal, Kamla Badwal, and Hark Ram Kohli. After promotion, the government has issued new postings to all of them.
Under these orders, Atreya Sayana has been appointed Chief Education Officer (CEO), Pauri; Ashutosh Bhandari and Nagendra Bartwal have been posted as Joint Directors (Primary) at the Directorate of Education; Kamla Badwal has been appointed Chief Education Officer, Tehri; and Hark Ram Kohli has been assigned the responsibility of Chief Education Officer, Almora.
Additionally, Akash Srivastava, Principal, DIET Gopeshwar, has been given additional charge as Chief Education Officer, Chamoli. Similarly, CP Ratudi, Principal, DIET Rudraprayag, has been appointed Secretary, Uttarakhand Board of School Education, Ramnagar. Tarun Pant, District Education Officer (Primary), Pithoragarh, has been given the additional charge as Chief Education Officer, Pithoragarh, while Amit Kothiyal, District Education Officer (Primary), Uttarkashi, has been given additional charge as Chief Education Officer, Uttarkashi.
Meanwhile, four officers promoted from the post of Block Education Officer have been posted as Deputy Directors. Under these postings, Naresh Kumar has been appointed District Education Officer (Secondary), Haridwar, along with additional charge as Chief Education Officer, Haridwar. Amit Kumar has been posted as District Education Officer (Primary), Haridwar; Himanshu Naugaai as District Education Officer (Secondary), Pithoragarh; and Anshul Bisht as District Education Officer (Primary), Pauri.
Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat has approved the postings submitted by the government and has directed officials to issue the posting orders at the earliest.
“Instructions have been issued to ensure timely promotions of officers and teachers in the Education Department. Accordingly, following the recent DPC, more than half a dozen officers have been promoted and assigned new responsibilities. These postings will accelerate departmental functioning and further strengthen the education system of the state,” stated Dr Dhan Singh Rawat.
