Dehradun, 21 Jan: With the objective of strengthening the quality of education in Uttarakhand and effectively implementing the goals of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Samagra Shiksha and Devi Institute (Dignity Education Vision International). The agreement was finalised under the guidance of Deepti Singh, State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha.
Under the agreement, in the first phase, the FLN program will be implemented in the districts of Haridwar, Dehradun, and Udham Singh Nagar. On a pilot basis, various educational activities will be conducted in these districts to strengthen academic quality, foundational literacy, and numeracy skills.
Following the successful completion of the first phase, the initiative will be expanded to all districts of the state in the second phase, ensuring that students across Uttarakhand benefit from quality and effective education.
According to departmental officials, this partnership will prove to be a significant step toward optimal utilisation of resources, promotion of innovation, and achievement of the objectives of Samagra Shiksha.
During the program organised at the Directorate, the agreement was signed by Dr Mukul Kumar Sati, Additional State Project Director. On this occasion, Dr Bhagwati Prasad Maindoli, State Nodal Officer (NGO), was also present.
