Graphic Era provides computer training to students from six blocks

Dehradun, 27 Jan:  Experts from Graphic Era has provided digital and computer-based technical training to school students from six blocks of Dehradun.

Today, at Graphic Era Hill University, certificates were awarded to students who received training under the Computer Aided Certificate Training Programme. Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Dr Amit R. Bhatt said that the present era is one of technological revolution, where fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science are emerging as the key foundations of future education and employment.

Guest of Honour and environmentalist Sachidanand Bharti said that hard work is the key to success and that goals can be achieved only through continuous effort. He appreciated the efforts of the Chairman of Graphic Era Group of Institutions, Dr Kamal Ghansala, and the initiatives taken by the Graphic Era institution.

This training programme was organised for students of classes 9 to 12 studying in government schools of six development blocks of Dehradun district—Kalsi, Chakrata, Vikasnagar, Rajpur, Sahaspur, and Doiwala. Under this training programme, students were provided computer and digital skills through online mode. A total of 60 students participated in the programme. Certificates were awarded to the students who successfully completed the training.

The programme was jointly organised by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Graphic Era Hill University, and the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET). The programme was attended by the Head of the Computer Science and Engineering Department Dr Anupam Singh, Principal, DIET, Hemlata Gaur Uniyal, Lecturer Richa Juyal, Programme Coordinator Shivashish Daundiyal, other teachers, and students. The programme was conducted by Sonal Malhotra.
