Aakrosh Rallies held in U’khand against atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh

Dehradun, 10 Dec: A mega Aakrosh rally was held in Dehradun today to protest against atrocities on Hindus in BangladeshRallies were also held in Haridwar, Haldwani and other places including some places in the hills in Garhwal and Kumaon on the call of various Hindu organisations in this regard. The rally in Dehradun and in Haridwar were attended by a large number of people indicating that anger is increasing in India over the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh
The rallies received support not only from Hindu organisations but various other organisations as well including prominent organisations like the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajrang Dal, BJP Yuva Morcha, BJP Mahila Morcha, Tibetan Society, the Radhaswami, the Nirankari Society, Ex-Servicemen Organisation, Udyog Vyapar Pratinidhi Mandal, Jain Society, Punjabi Sabha, Sikh Society, Agrawal Sabha, Vaishya Sabha, Brahmin Sabha, and Kshetriya Sabha. Representatives of these organisations also participated in the Aakrosh Rally today.  As a result, Paltan Bazaar remained closed for over two hours. The rally passed through Paltan Bazaar, Lakhibagh, Darshani Gate, and Prince Chowk, finally reaching the District Magistrate’s office, where a memorandum was sent to the Prime Minister and the President via the District Magistrate.
A massive public meeting was also organised in Haldwani to express anger. During the rally, slogans were raised demanding that Central government take effective steps to ensure the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh. In the Haldwani public meeting, held at the Nainital district headquarters, people voiced their anger against the Bangladesh government. They called opon Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the President to take concrete steps against the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh to ensure their safety.
A large number of people from different districts of the Kumaon division attended the public meeting. Leaders of Hindu organizations addressed the gathering, stating that atrocities against Hindus, Buddhists, and minorities are continuously increasing in Bangladesh. Religious places of Hindus are being demolished, making them unsafe.
The speakers claimed that at the time of independence, the populations of Hindus and Muslims were equal in Bangladesh, but today only 6 percent of the population is Hindu. Hindu women are not safe in Bangladesh. They demanded that the Indian government take steps to ensure the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh. Following the public meeting, people demonstrated on the streets. Local people and Hindu organizations took out a massive procession from MB Inter College premises in Haldwani, reaching the District Magistrate Camp Office. They protested against Bangladesh and demanded action. A memorandum was sent to the President and Prime Minister through the District Magistrate, demanding action against Bangladesh.
Protesting against the atrocities on Hindu minorities in Bangladesh, Hindu organisations also stated demonstration in Guptakashi in Kedar Valley and burned an effigy of Bangladesh‘s Yunus Government. Hindu organisations called for a boycott of Bangladeshi goods and warned that if the attacks on Hindus and the insult to the tricolour continue, Indians will not remain silent.
