Dehradun, 20 Feb: Scientists, academicians, healthcare experts, industry representatives, and researchers from India and abroad have gathered at Graphic Era to discuss the role and growing impact of Artificial Intelligence in health sciences and industry.
A two-day international conference, titled ‘ALIVE’, on the role of AI in health sciences began today at Graphic Era Hill University. Addressing the conference, the Chief Guest, Dean at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bengaluru, Prof. Shripal Patil said that the use of AI will make pharmacy and healthcare-related work simpler, more accurate, and more efficient.
President of Himalayan Wellness Company, Dehradun, Dr S Farooq stated that AI is the foundation of future healthcare services.
Various technical sessions will be held during the two-day international conference, where experts will discuss the impact and applications of AI and emerging technologies in the field of health sciences. Around 400 participants from countries including the USA, China, Dubai, South Korea, and Kenya are attending the conference in both online and offline modes.
The conference has been organised by the School of Pharmacy, Graphic Era Hill University. Dean of Academics Dr Pramod S Nair, Registrar Dr D K Joshi, Dean of School of Pharmacy Dr Nardev Singh, Organising Secretary Dr Indu Singh, along with Dr Dinesh Puri, Dr Arun Kumar, Dr Deepika Raina, other faculty members, and students were present at the event. The conference was anchored by Dr Bharti Sharma.
