Dehradun, 15 Apr : Premier Hindi Daily, Amar Ujala is celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year. To commemorate the occasion, Amar Ujala is holding several programmes in various cities across the country. Speaking to Garhwal Post, Resident Editor of Amar Ujala Dehradun, Daya Shankar Shukla informed that most of the programmes to mark the special occasion will be held on a local basis with the help of the local teams. In Dehradun, the newspaper will host a special show of the play titled, “With Love- Aap Ki Saiyaara” on 17 April which is the eve of the 75th Anniversary of the newspaper at IRDT Auditorium at Survey Chowk.
This play has been directed by noted theatre personality and film and TV actor Juhi Babbar. It may be recalled that Juhi Babbar is daughter of acclaimed film actor and politician Raj Babbar and noted theatre personality Nadira Babbar. She is married to actor Anup Soni.
Shukla informed that the entry to the play will be through special passes to be issued by Amar Ujala. He added that the play will be graced by dignitaries from the state.
Juhi Babbar is the main character in the play and also its director. The play revolves around a courageous young lady called Saiyaara living in a metropolitan city, who is in search of her true self. She is a daughter of rich parents but riddled with emotions. She is a woman who has seen the good, bad and ugly side of life, and one who has the ability to take blows on the chin and move on. The story also touches upon various complex issues such as religious conversion and triple talaq.
