Arukansh & Nidhi excel in Debate Competition

Dehradun, 25 Aug: In the trilingual-themed debate competition held at the Silver Jubilee Convention Centre of Graphic Era University, Arukansh Das from BA Political Science and Nidhi Joshi from Doon University won first place, Soumya Singh from BA LLB secured second place, and Priyanshu Bisht from BTech CS claimed third place. The competition was organised under the name Aarambh.
During the event, Vice-Chancellor Narpinder Singh said that India is a country of diversity, and this diversity is its strength. He urged the students to learn both national and international languages so that India can proudly represent itself on the global stage. The VC added that Graphic Era always encourages its students to keep learning, embrace new ideas, and develop a global perspective.
The panel discussion focused on “Three Language Formula: Issues of Academic Wellbeing and Linguistic Diversity?” The distinguished panelists included former Director, LBSNAA, Dr Sanjeev Chopra; former Chief Executive Director, ONGC, Shashi Ranjan; Faculty of Electronics & Communication, Graphic Era, Dr Malathi S; and Chief Proctor Dr AS Shukla.
The programme was attended by Head of Humanities & Social Sciences Dr Prabha Lama; Head of Management Studies Dr Rajesh Tiwari; Debating Society Coordinators Dr Bharti Sharma, Dr Shahbaz Begum, Dr Mansavi Semwal, along with other faculty members and students.
