Basant Panchami celebrations held at Olympus High



Dehradun, 31 Jan: Olympus High School celebrated Basant Panchami, the day of Maa Saraswati, with great fervour within its premises, here, today.
The programme commenced with worship of Goddess Saraswati. The students of the school sang Saraswati Vandana, ‘Maa Humko Darshan De’.
Managing Director Kunal Shamshere Malla and Principal Anuradha Malla paid obeisance to Goddess Saraswati, the Deity of Knowledge, Music and Art. They also prayed for the bright future of the students.
To mark the occasion, the tiny tots of the school came decked up in yellow attire and enjoyed kite flying within the school premises.
Later, Hindi teacher Rachna Pathak emphasised the importance of this day. This was followed by recitation of a poem, ‘Basant Ritu Aayi Hai’ by Poonam Arora.
The students of Olympus High also presented a song, ‘Aaya Basant, Aaya Basant’, which was appreciated by all present on the occasion.
The day concluded with the distribution of Prasad among the students, teachers and staff of the school.
