BHEL wins laurels at ‘National Competition for Managers’

Haridwar, 4 Mar: A National Competition for Managers (NCM) on the theme, “Innovative Organisation in the Face of Digitalisation and Disruption”, was organised by the All India Management Association (AIMA). A team of managers from BHEL, Haridwar, comprising Anjali Sharma and Tuhin Mitra won the 1st runners up prize in the finals of the prestigious event.
The national level managerial combat is a symbolic event of AIMA being conducted on yearly basis for which teams from many technological giants compete. The finale, which was attended by many high level corporate executives across the nation, consisted of 12 teams from PSUs and the Private Sector. It is noteworthy that the team from BHEL Haridwar took first position in the regional level competition held at New Delhi.
Overall, Ashok Leyland emerged as the Champions, Yes Bank as Ist Runners-up and Mahindra & Mahindra as IInd Runners-up in the Private Sector Category. NTPC Ltd emerged as the Champions, BHEL as Ist Runners-up and HPCL as IInd Runners-up in the PSU Category.
The fiercely contested Grand finale was judged by Vivek Mehta, CEO & MD, Sage Publications India, Dr Prabhu Aggarwal, former Chief Learning Officer, JSPL, and Dr Jaskiran Arora, Prof, BML Munjal University. The event was attended by many officials and dignitaries who were also encouraging their respective teams performing at the event.
General Manager (Incharge), BHEL, Haridwar, Sanjay Gulati has congratulated the team and acknowledged its efforts in bringing laurels to the company. This team was initially selected by Haridwar Management Association (HMA) by conducting local level competitions.
