Bike Rally to be held on International Women’s Day

DEHRADUN, 1 Mar: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, 8 March, Trikon Society and The Dhaal Foundation will organise the First Uttarakhand Women’s Bike Rally. The rally will also be a tribute to the brave martyrs of the country.
The rally will start at 9:30 a.m. from Raj Bhawan and will finish at a Resort on Haridwar road covering a total distance of 55 kilometres. The rally will be flagged off by Governor Baby Rani Maurya.
Approximately 250 participants from states like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Union Territory of Chandigarh, etc., have already registered for the rally. Every participant will be getting gifts of up to Rs 10,000, and the top five winners will get gifts of up to Rs 12,000.?
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Dr Neha Sharma, Director of Trikon Society, said, “The rally not only celebrates the ability of new age women to walk shoulder to shoulder with men in all chores of life, but will also raise awareness on saving the environment and help promote adventure tourism in Uttarakhand.”
Megha Bhatt and PC Kushwaha were also present on the occasion.
