DEHRADUN, 19 Mar: BJP leader Ravindra Jugran has welcomed the amendment made by the Uttarakhand government in the Uttarakhand Special Subordinate Education (Lecturer Cadre) Service Rules, calling it a beneficial step for students.
He stated that in the previous lecturer recruitment process, students were unable to get subject specialists as lecturers. However, with this amendment, the removal of the screening test and the introduction of subject-wise examinations will ensure that students in inter-colleges get subject expert lecturers.
Jugran highlighted that, in the last recruitment, several positions in Mathematics and Science remained vacant because, due to the screening process, candidates with strong general knowledge cleared the exam, while subject specialists could not succeed.
He emphasised that this amendment is in the best interest of students and will improve the quality of education in Uttarakhand.
