BJP will organise special programmes on Modi’s, Dhami’s birthdays: Mahendra Bhatt

Dehradun, 14 Sep: BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt today stated that his party would celebrate Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s birthday as ‘Sankalp Diwas’ and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday as ‘Seva Pakhwada’ in a big way. Addressing a press conference at the BJP State Headquarters here, today, Bhatt said the BJP would reach out to the people on 16 September, on the birthday of CM Dhami, and inform them of the party’s commitment to making Uttarakhand a leading state by 2025. In addition, the party would also celebrate the Sewa Pakhwada (fortnight of service) beginning on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.

The BJP State President said that the party would celebrate the birthday of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on 16 September. He claimed that that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is working diligently to fulfill the goal of making Uttarakhand a leading state in the country by the year 2025, when the state would complete 25 years of its existence as a separate state. It is only because of his vision and guidance that the people of Uttarakhand are confident about reaching new heights of development. The government is fully committed to resolving the problems, ensure rapid development, and towards winning everyone’s trust and also strictly ensure a corruption free Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Dhami is committed to fulfilling the dreams of the people of Uttarakhand as well as improving social welfare. Allocation for every social welfare scheme like old age pension, widow pension and pension for the disabled, etc., has been raised significantly by the Dhami Government.  The government is working on simplification of land and other laws, as well as procedures of various services, improving internet and mobile connectivity including that of 4G and 5G networks, and also towards improving road connectivity. After the scam related to the recruitments was exposed, the government is now committed to ensuring that recruitments in future were more transparent and totally fair. At the same time, it is being ensured that the recruitments are not delayed unduly.

Bhatt said that during the fortnight to be organised to mark the birthday of PM Modi, an exhibition will be organised on 17 and 18 September in which achievements of the Union Government during the past 8 years would be displayed. Sanitation drives would be organised on 19 and 20 September, both in rural as well as urban areas. A tree plantation drive would be organised on 21 and 22 September with focus on large trees such as Peepal. Guardians would also be nominated for the plants so that the trees could be taken care of. Apart from this, on 23 September, a programme of worship of Naulas, natural water sources and other water bodies would be conducted to stress the importance of conserving water resources. On 24 September, a conference of intellectuals would be held with all the 6 Mayors of all the municipal corporations of the state including Sunil Uniyal Gama, Anita Mamgai, Usha Chaudhary, Yogendrapal Singh, Rampal Singh and Umesh Tripathi would be the convenors.

The State President said that on 25 September, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Jayanti and Mann Ki Baat programmes would be organised on a large scale. On 27 September, a public awareness drive on health check-up and booster dose of Covid vaccines would be held. A ‘Vocal for Local’ programme would be held on 1 October to promote local products like local fruits and other agro and non-agro products. On 2 October, on Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday, a campaign to promote Khadi would be held.

State media in-charge of BJP, Manveer Chauhan, spokesperson Vinod Suyal, Vipin Kainthola, co-media in-charge Kamlesh Uniyal, state office secretary Kaustubhanand Joshi were present at the press conference, along with Aditya Kothari.
