BJP’s win will ensure a developed India: Trivendra Rawat

Dehradun, 10 Apr: Former CM and the BJP candidate for Haridwar Parliamentary constituency, Trivendra Singh Rawat today claimed that, in this election, the public is going to support PM Modi’s resolution of building a developed India.

Addressing a press conference at BJP’s Election Media Centre set up at a local hotel here, today, Rawat claimed that the party will get bumper blessings of the public on Modi’s guarantee of fulfilling the dreams of the common person. This will start from Uttarakhand, he claimed.

He put forward the party’s views regarding the Lok Sabha elections. He reiterated that the ongoing Parliamentary Election will be historic in nature, in which the people will vote for building a developed India. This election is an exercise for the people to ensure that the efforts to bring India back to its ultimate cultural, religious and spiritual glory are carried forward with even greater force. For the BJP, it is an opportunity to work towards fulfilment of the common person’s dreams.

Rawat claimed that the BJP will certainly cross 370 seats, while the NDA will cross 400 seats across the country. This election is to bless Modi and the BJP to carry forward the policy of bringing more people above of the poverty line, in addition to the more than 25 crores who were brought out of poverty in the past 10 years. He reminded that the Modi Government has also extended the scheme of free ration being provided to 80 crores poor people of the country.

Rawat asserted that the people will support the BJP also for providing more than 4 crore houses to the poor under PM Awaas Yojana and for providing taps and water in every household and electricity to every home. Employment generation by the government and the private sectors and various schemes like Mudra Loan, Startup, Swanidhi, Lakhpati Didi, etc., have helped in changing the lives of crores of youth. In addition, a significant portion of the state’s population has benefitted under the Atal Ayushman Health Scheme. India has now become the second largest mobile manufacturer in the world and is nearing 100 percent electrification of Railways. Today, 28.6 km of roads are being constructed per day as compared to 12.1 km per day during the previous regimes. The number of semi-high speed Vande Bharat trains will soon touch the figure of 75 and Uttarakhand has also benefitted. Rawat also reminded that medical colleges are being built in every district, which includes Haridwar.

He said, Modi will also get people’s blessings for having ended the 500-year wait of crores of Sanatanis for the construction of Lord Ram’s temple in Ayodhya and also for implementing CAA to help the people from minority communities in neighbouring countries who are victims of religious persecution. Rawat added that, by abrogating Article 370, the BJP Government has worked to advance the concept of a united India. By abolishing triple talaq, it has worked to end the injustice that has been going on against minority women for hundreds of years. The government has also constructed more than 11 crores toilets for women and provided free LPG connections to the poor women under Ujjwala scheme.

He said that, in these 10 years, along with almost doubling the MSP, the BJP has taken forward many schemes like giving Samman Nidhi to the farmers, taking care of, both, crops and soil, providing neem coated urea to the fields instead of chemicals, etc.

Rawat called upon the people to vote for making India the third largest economic power of the world and to decisively fulfil the resolve of making India free from terrorism and corruption. He stressed that this election is about accepting India’s current strategy of becoming a superpower with a strong and modern weapon-equipped army and a decisive foreign policy.

He said that Uttarakhand resides in Modi’s heart, the proof of which is that he has given schemes worth more than Rs 2 lakh crore to the small state, rejuvenating the systems from Kedarkhand to Manas Khand and establishing it on the tourism map of the world.

Talking about Haridwar, he claimed that systematic infrastructure is being created for religious purposes like beautification of all the major temples, accommodation in the entire area for the convenience of devotees, temple darshan, bathing at the ghats, etc.

State Election Management Committee Convener and Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Dharampur MLA Vinod Chamoli, state media in-charge Manveer Chauhan, state spokesperson Suresh Joshi, co-media in-charge Rajendra Negi, Sanjeev Verma, Rajiv Talwar were prominently present at the press conference.
