Haridwar, 23 Dec: A Cancer Awareness and Free Medical Camp was organised today by Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Patel Nagar, Dehradun, at Shri Guru Mandal Ashram, Devpura, Haridwar. Specialist doctors of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital gave consultation to the patients. A lecture was delivered by HOD, Cancer Surgery, Dr Pankaj Kumar Garg on Cancer Awareness.
Residents of Haridwar participated in the camp. Free of cost medicines were also distributed by Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital at the camp.
The Opening Ceremony of the Camp was done jointly by Chief Guest MLA Madan Kaushik, ex-Cabinet Minister, Swami Bhagwat Swaroop, Parmadyeksh & Mahant, Shri Guru Mandal Ashram, Devpura, Haridwar, Swami Harichetnanand Maharaj, Shiv Swaroop Maharaj, Swami Raghavendra Maharaj and Santosh Muni Maharaj.
MLA Madan Kaushik said that Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital is performing excellent work under its Chairman, Mahant Devendra Das by serving humanity through quality and affordable healthcare service. He asked people to be aware of deadly disease of Cancer. He said that Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital is a trusted partner of the Uttarakhand State Government in the healthcare sector. He appreciated holding of the camp.
HOD, Cancer Surgery, SMIH, Dr Pankaj Kumar Garg said that, if cancer is detected in its early stages then it can be treated successfully and the patient’s life can be saved. He explained the ultra modern treatment of cancer and its techniques in simplified language.
Swami Bhagwat Swaroop said that service of humanity is service of God. God has bestowed significant responsibility on the doctors. He urged the doctors to serve the patients lifelong in their best manner.
Swami Hari Chetnanand explained the various humanitarian social services being done by Darbar Shri Guru Ram Rai, Dehradun.
Cancer Specialists Dr Pankaj Kumar Garg and Dr Devanjan, Physicians Dr Vishal Gulati and Dr Vineet Bansal, Obs & Gynae Specialist Dr Mamta Thapliyal, General Surgery Specialist Dr Archana Chaudhary, Orthopedics Specialist Dr Yogesh Ahuja, ENT Specialist Dr Arvind Varma, Eye Specialist Dr Priyanka Gupta, Psychiatrist Dr Sanjibani Panigrahi, Pediatrics Specialist Dr Ashish Sethi, Skin Specialist Dr Himanshu Kumar, Dental Specialist Dr Himani Painuly gave medical consultation to the patients. Patients were given free ECG, Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure tests. Free of cost medicines were also distributed to the patients. As many as 1,500 patients were benefitted by this Camp.
Significant roles were also played by Principal, Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School, Rishikesh, Sunil Kothari, Principal, Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School, Haridwar, Sachin Joshi, Simran Aggarwal and Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital’s PRO team Jitender Yadav, Hari Shankar Gaur and Bhupender Raturi in making this camp a success.
