Dehradun, 28 May: Sardar Bhagwan Singh University (SBS University), Dehradun, has announced the successful completion of a recent campus placement drive conducted in collaboration with Rusan Pharma Limited, a pharmaceutical company with a global footprint. The initiative opened promising career avenues for students from B Pharm, M Pharm, and MSc Chemistry, MSc Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and MSc Microbiology programmes.
The drive marked a significant milestone in SBS University’s ongoing commitment to preparing students for dynamic careers in the life sciences and healthcare industries. Representatives from Rusan Pharma Ltd, including BS. Sengar (HR Head), Sunil Bunkar (Manager – Technical), and Paridhi Sharma (HR Recruiter), engaged with students, providing insights into the company’s operations, global presence, job roles, and growth prospects.
Rusan Pharma Ltd, established in 1994, is a vertically integrated pharmaceutical company specialising in research, manufacturing, and marketing of formulations and APIs. With a presence in over 50 countries, including the UK, Europe, CIS, South Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions, the company continues to be a significant player in the global pharma market.
The placement drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from final-year students, who welcomed the opportunity to connect directly with industry professionals and showcase their academic knowledge and professional readiness. After a rigorous selection process, 13 students were chosen by Rusan Pharma Ltd., including 9 selected and 4 waitlisted, marking a major step forward in their career journeys.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof (Dr) J Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, SBS University, remarked, “We are delighted to host Rusan Pharma Ltd on our campus. The drive was organised under the guidance of Dr. Arun Kumar Mahato, Convenor, Training & Placement Cell, along with Mousin Khan (Co-convenor), Piyali Sharma (T&P Officer), and Pradyumna Ghoshal, supported by a dedicated team of faculty members.
