Cheshire Home celebrates World Disability Day

DEHRADUN, 3 Dec: Cheshire Home, Dehradun, celebrated World Disability Day here, today, during which the residents took part in various activities like dance, musical chairs, race, etc. Students along with the staff members of Uttaranchal College for BEd also visited the Home to participate in the event, interacted with the residents, and participated in activities as per the capabilities of the residents. On this special day, SSP Nivedita Kukreti also visited the Home and greeted the residents. She took a round of the Home and was much impressed with the cleanliness and hygienic conditions in which these residents live and the care with which they are being looked after. She also saw some items of knitting and embroidery being prepared by two residents, who besides being deaf and dumb are also intellectually challenged. She appreciated their work. Chairman PC Agarwal welcomed her and extended thanks on behalf of the management. Also present on the occasion was Brig KG Behl (Retd), Vice Chairman, MK Puri, Hon Secretary, and members of the Managing Committee, Dr VP Pathak, Pradeep Srivastava and Dr Mahesh Bhandari.
