Dehradun, 28 Mar: The Doon Buddhist Committee took the initiative, today, to clean-up Buddha Chowk, an important landmark of Doon, on the sacred occasion of the full moon day as part of its contribution towards Swacch Bharat.
Since the emergence of the Covid pandemic, the place had remained bereft of regular care and attention.
After the clean up, homage was paid to the Buddha and prayers were recited for the peace and wellbeing of all sentient beings.
Henceforth, the Committee also hopes to take charge of cleaning the place every month.
Those present on the occasion were Jai Singh, Yeshi, Ashok Kumar Singh, Ashok Kumar, Vinod, Nawang Chhogial, Karma Dolma, Anirudh, and Tsering Luding.
