DEHRADUN, 6 Dec: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today inspected the site where the Sainik Dham is being built up in Purukul village here. Sainik Kalyan Minister Ganesh Joshi was also present on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that Sainik Dham was related to everyone’s feelings in the state. He reminded that setting up a Sainik Dham in Dehradun in memory of the martyrs was a vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Dham was being built as per his vision. He further stated that Modi had said that the Sainik Dham would be the fifth Dham of Uttarakhand as it was the land of the brave. Dhami said that this Sainik Dham would be constructed on a grand scale and the memories of all the martyred soldiers would be preserved in the Dham. For this purpose, soil from the courtyard of house of every martyr of Uttarakhand was being brought to the Dham. The Chief Minister directed the Principal Secretary Sainik Kalyan and District Magistrate Dehradun to expedite all necessary action for the construction of Sainik Dham. On this occasion Principal Secretary L Fanai, District Magistrate Dehradun Dr R Rajesh Kumar, MD Upal Brigadier (Retd) PPS Pahwa and officers concerned were present.
