CM Dhami hands over appointment letters to 289 officers of State Civil/Senior Subordinate Services

Dehradun, 14 Oct: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami handed over appointment letters to 289 officers selected for 19 departments through the Combined State Civil / Senior Subordinate Services Examination-2021 at a function held at his official residence here today.

More than 17,500 candidates have been appointed to government service in the state on a permanent basis in the last three years.

CM Dhami, while congratulating all the successful candidates, observed that today marks a new beginning in the lives of these young officers. He noted that the contribution of these young officials will be important in fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India by the year 2047. He also referred to these young officers as soldiers of the Amrit Kaal of Independence, who will fulfil the dream of a developed India.

The CM noted that, with the appointment of these officers in various departments of the state government, public interest works will gain a new momentum. He said that the government had decided in the first cabinet meeting to fill all 24,000 vacant posts in the government departments of the state. Currently, the recruitment process is in progress for many posts. He emphasised that, to make Uttarakhand the leading and ideal state of the country, everyone must work with the spirit of Team Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand has achieved the first place in the ranking of Sustainable Development Goals released by NITI Aayog and is ensuring achievements in many fields, he pointed out.

Dhami called upon the selected officers to bring regular innovation in their respective fields of work. He noted that public welfare schemes run by the Central and State Governments should be easily delivered to the people at the last end of society. He called upon the newly appointed officers to perform as a bridge between the government and the public and serve the common people through their administrative capabilities and take the state forward on the path of progress.

The 289 officers who were given appointment letters today included 10 Deputy Collectors; 10 Deputy SPs; 18 Finance Officers; 16 Assistant Commissioners (State Tax); 3 Jail Superintendents; 11 ARTOs; 28 Block Development Officers (BDOs); 4 Executive Officers in District Panchayats; 7 Assistant Registrars, Cooperatives; 4 District Supply Officers (DSOs); 3 Sub Divisional Marketing Officers; 5 District Social Welfare Officers; 17 Assistant Directors (Industries); 2 Assistant Labour Commissioners; 3 Assistant Directors (Factory); 32 Deputy Education Officers; 11 District Information Officers/Information Officers; 3 Assistant Directors (Fisheries); 1 Assistant Sugarcane Commissioner; 19 Child Development Project Officers; 2 District Probation Officers; 2 District Minority Welfare Officers; 28 State Tax Officers; 12 Deputy Registrars Category-2; 1 Superintendent of Government Certified Institution; 1 Publicity Officer (Tourism); 3 Case Workers; 10 Assistant Directors of Agriculture and Horticulture; 20 Horticulture Development Officers; 1 Mushroom Development Officer; 1 Plant Protection Officer (PPOs); and 1 Food Processing Officer.

Cabinet Ministers Satpal Maharaj, Prem Chand Aggarwal, Ganesh Joshi, Saurabh Bahuguna and Rekha Arya, DGP Abhinav Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretaries RK Sudhanshu and L Fanai, Secretaries, and departmental officers were present on this occasion.
