CM Dhami inaugurates Sardar Patel Bhawan, launches ‘e-beat’ app of Uttarakhand police

Dehradun, 20 Jun: Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, inaugurated the newly constructed Sardar Patel Bhawan at Court Road, Dehradun on Tuesday. After the inauguration he visited 112 Control Room and State Video Surveillance Center.
During the programme, Chief Minister launched the ‘ebeat’ app of Uttarakhand Police, a CEIR service portal for the citizens of Uttarakhand. He also released the subject booklet of Reserve Civil Police, Indoor Training.
After the inauguration of the building, Pushkar Singh Dhami said that now the police department will not have to face any kind of problem. Dial 112 is also being implemented in the building due to increasing number of complaints, and problems of common people can be resolved quickly. The state government is fully committed to the welfare of the police personnel and their residential and non-residential facilities. We have made a provision of 45 crore, increasing the amount for the construction of residential and non-residential buildings this year as compared to the last year.
Dhami said that the eBeat app has been prepared with the aim of providing online solutions for various services related to police and the general public, strengthening law and order and making police functioning paperless. He said that the state government will provide an adequate budget for the development of Uttarakhand Police in the future as well and will try to provide a maximum budget to the police department from central schemes as well. The government is moving towards making the Uttarakhand Police smart police. We want to make the police more empowered, sensitive and technically efficient. The state government is committed to providing modern equipment and weapons to police personnel as well as making the offices hi-tech.
Chief Minister Dhami said that at present Chardham Yatra is on fast pace in the state. Lakhs of devotees are reaching from within the country and abroad. The Chardham Yatra is being conducted in the best possible manner by the police. The state government and the police are making constant efforts to make the Chardham Yatra smooth and safe for the general public. He said that according to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are continuously working to make Uttarakhand Police a modern and smart police force. The cooperation of all the jawans and officers is also necessary for fulfilling this resolution. He said that in the whole country, the police of Uttarakhand state has made a special identity for itself in the areas of friendship, service and security.
He said that the police play an important role in reforming society. Crores of tourists come to our state from other states. In such a situation, the police act as the representative of the state government. He said that Uttarakhand Police needs to prepare itself for the future along with the present time. He said that the government is fully committed and will continue to work continuously for the upliftment and modernization of the police department in the state.
Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said that the government is constantly working on the mantra of smart police. In the past years, many works have been done to connect the police with modernity. He said that the construction work of new buildings is being done under the leadership of the Chief Minister, in which special attention is being paid to its quality.
DGP Ashok Kumar said that with the inauguration of Sardar Patel Bhavan, Uttarakhand Police has got a multipurpose office building. In Sarkar Patel Bhavan, in addition to the regional office, the offices of the Traffic Directorate, SDRF training, fire and emergency services, etc. have been shifted. In this about 250 officers and employees are working.
During this program, MP Mala Rajyalakshmi Shah, MLA Khajan Das, Additional Director General of Police Abhinav Kumar and others were present.
