CM sanctions Rs 146.19 crores for various development projects

Dehradun, 12 Sep: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today approved financial allocations amounting to Rs 146.19 crores for various development projects across Uttarakhand.

The CM sanctioned an amount of Rs 3.81 crores for Nainital district, under the State Plan for the widening of the road stretch from Government Primary School, Bhagwanpur, to Government Inter College Lamachaud, extending up to the Kaladhungi main road in the Kaladhungi Assembly constituency.

For Bageshwar district, an allocation of Rs 4.73 crores was approved by the CM for the Bodi Dhurafat Pumping Scheme under the Bageshwar branch, covering the completion of pending works and the supply and installation of energy-efficient centrifugal pump sets for retrofitting pumps and motors.

Dhami also sanctioned an amount of Rs 7.07 crores for Haridwar district for the construction of an office and the central treasury for the Public Directorate of the Prosecution Department at Roshanabad. This approval includes the release of the first instalment, which constitutes 40 per cent of the total sanctioned sum.

In addition, the CM also earmarked a major portion of funds for the Kumbh Mela-2027, in all, sanctioning an amount of Rs 113 crores to the executing agencies for multiple new construction works related to the event. Additionally, a token amount of Rs 10 crores will be proportionally released during the current financial year.

Under the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, the CM approved an amount of Rs 17.58 crores for water supply and grid solar schemes supported by NABARD. This includes projects of the Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan involving three projects worth Rs 9.22 crores and 17 projects of the Uttarakhand Peyjal Nigam costing a total amount of Rs 8.36 crores.
