CMD Dr Nalin Shinghal visits BHEL, Haridwar

Haridwar, 11 Jul: Dr Nalin Shinghal, who recently assumed charge as Chairman & Managing Director of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), visited the Haridwar complex consisting of two major manufacturing units. The IIT Delhi graduate did his PGDBM from IIM Calcutta. He is also a commonwealth scholar with a PhD in Transport Economics from the University of Leeds. He is known for his leadership as CMD of Central Electronics Limited which turned CEL into a profit making organisation over the past 6 years.
Dr Shinghal was welcomed by Sanjay Gulati, General Manager, Incharge, HEEP, and Jai Prakash Singh, Executive Director, CFFP. Later, while visiting both the plants at BHEL Haridwar, he was impressed by the huge manufacturing facility at Haridwar and appreciated the massive potential and capability which the organisation has for contributing towards the growth of the nation. Not only did he value the contributions which BHEL has been making for decades to meet the power demand of the country, he also acknowledged the major role of the Hardwar unit in the growth of the organisation. He encouraged the senior officers to explore and expand the business in synergy with the facilities at Haridwar units, which would lead towards diversification of BHEL’s business. The plant visit was followed by an interaction with all General Managers and senior officials.
Dr Shinghal appreciated the efforts of BHEL Haridwar in achieving targets for the last fiscal. During his visit across various divisions, he also interacted with various levels of employees and said that with their wholehearted efforts, BHEL would definitely scale new heights in the future.
