Dehradun, 24 Sep: The Department of Civil Engineering, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT), organised an inspiring Alumni Entrepreneur Talk, here, today. The event featured Firoz Hussain, a distinguished alumnus from the 2017 batch, and currently the co-founder of Chillum Chai. The session aimed to motivate students in entrepreneurship and provide guidance through the experiences shared by the guest speaker.
Firoz Hussain, a bright student in the Civil Engineering Department, shared the success story of his company Chillum Chai. Chillum Chai is a unique café franchise offering customers a memorable experience through a variety of food options and gaming zones, all at pocket-friendly prices while maintaining high-quality services. Firoz explained how he began with small steps and gradually worked towards achieving his larger goals.
Professor (Dr) Sumit Chaudhary, Director, UIT, welcomed Firoz by presenting him with a sapling, symbolising continuous growth and nurturing of new ideas. Gaurav Thakur, Head of the Civil Engineering Department, along with other faculty members, was also present at the event.
While addressing the students, Firoz Hussain emphasised that innovation, patience, and hard work are essential to achieving success in entrepreneurship. He encouraged students to believe in their ideas and take risks to realise their dreams.
