Dehradun, 13 May: BJP has dismissed Congress allegations regarding mismanagement of the Char Dham Yatra this year. BJP State Media In charge Manveer Chuhan claimed that the Yatra is running smoothly and in a well organised manner but the Congress has not been able to digest this success of the government. Chauhan accused Congress of unnecessarily indulging in politics over the Yatra and levelling baseless allegations.
Chauhan also took a dig at Congress’s claim of being Sanatan lovers and claimed that not only history but even the present is full of evidence that prove the Congress is Anti Sanatani. If Congress President Karan Mahara criticises Darshan of Lord Ram Mandir or indulges in anti-Sanatan statements before the elections, he will definitely incur the wrath of the people, Chauhan claimed.
Chauhan was responding to the questions of media persons at the BJP State Headquarters here today. He claimed that considering the experiences of the past few years regarding the Yatra arrangements, a record number of devotees are reaching Devbhoomi this year. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, they are being given a grand welcome by the administration and local people. The travel arrangements are completely smooth due to the CM’s continuous high-level meetings and monitoring on the ground. All basic facilities and essential things are being made available to the passengers on time. Whatever minor problems are found, are also being resolved immediately by the authorities. In this entire process, the government administration is getting the support of local businessmen and people associated with the yatra. Pilgrims and local people understand very well the circumstances arising from the arrival of more people than the capacity and no one has any special resentment.
Chauhan said that the problem and resentment is only with the Congress leaders, who are not able to come out of the election mode even after the elections are over in the state. They realise that the public has completely rejected them in the elections that is why they want to cause economic loss to the local people, the BJP leader claimed, adding that Congress is spreading rumours regarding the yatra management.
