Dehradun, 27 Jan: The 73rd Republic Day was celebrated with great zeal at Pine Hall School here on 26 January. The Principal, Dr Rama Anand, hoisted the Tricolour, which was followed by singing of the national anthem. In her online address, she expressed pride in the rich cultural past of the country. She stressed that the efforts of the brave freedom fighters must not go in vain, adding, “Our dream is for you to develop excellence in all spheres of individual and collective activity and contribute to the development of India and the entire human kind.”
The students celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervour and zeal over an online platform. A plethora of activities were organised to infuse the spirit of unity, brotherhood and patriotism among the students.
The children drew and coloured the national flag and posters with three colours symbolic of strength, peace and prosperity. There was rendition of patriotic songs and speeches highlighting the history and significance of the Republic Day.
