DEHRADUN, 27 Jan: Saluting the free nation and its freedom fighters, Dehradun Ex- Services League celebrated the 70th Republic Day with patriotic zeal.
Col BM Thapa (Retd) officiating president, DESL, wished the vast gathering of ex-Servicemen. The ESM had come from far flung areas of 22 Zonal Shakhas to attend the Republic Day.
Lt Gen GS Negi (Retd), Chief Patron and Chief Guest, and Darshan Singh Rawat, President, Rathi Sudhar Sabha and wife of Brigadier RS Rawat (Retd) unfurled the flag. Everyone sang the national anthem. Gen Negi stressed on celebrating Republic Day, every year, with full patriotism. Others who attended the function were Brigadiers Vijay Kumar, RS Rawat, KG Behl, Cols BM Thapar, Bhupender Sahi, RP Jairath, DK Pradhan, JS Cheema, PL Prashar, KS Mann, MMP Kala, BS Chettri, Maj H Choudhary, Captains BS Thapa, Neel Kumar, Ashok Limbu, AS Bhandari, DS Bhandari, YS Bisht, Sub Maj PS Gurung, Sub KB Rai, Prem Singh Thapa, Havs Bharat Chauhan, Dilwar Singh Chauhan and many others.
