Dehradun, 21 Sep: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today heard grievances of the citizens from across the state at his camp office here. People from various parts of the state placed before him issues relating to the roads, drinking water, electricity, health, education, revenue, pensions, employment, financial assistance and other regional as well as personal matters. The CM, taking these concerns seriously, directed the officials to ensure their swift, effective and time-bound resolution. He emphasised that the matters which can be resolved at the district or departmental level should not remain unnecessarily pending at the government level and instructed the officers to prioritise disposal of public grievances at their own level.
Dhami said that resolving public grievances is among the highest priorities of the state government and it is the responsibility of officials at every level of governance and administration to listen to people with sensitivity and provide solutions in accordance with rules at the earliest. He stressed that the citizens should not be compelled to make repeated visits to government offices for their work and called for further strengthening of the system to make it more effective. He also reminded that the state government has made the CM Helpline-1905, Jan Sunwai and programmes such as ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ more effective for grievance redressal. Through these initiatives, the administration itself is reaching out to the people, resolving their problems and linking eligible citizens with welfare schemes and services. In earlier camps too, complaints related to various departments were disposed of and benefits of schemes were extended to the people.
The CM also stated that the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, launched on 17 September, is being conducted across the State till 17 October 2026. Under this campaign, programmes related to service, public participation, dialogue and innovation are being organised. As part of the Seva Setu Abhiyan, health and multipurpose camps will also be held alongside ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ camps to deliver schemes and services of the Centre and the State to the people. He instructed officials to act seriously on each case received during public hearings, to monitor grievance disposal regularly and to ensure that solutions are not confined to paperwork but provide real relief to the concerned individuals. He underlined that better coordination between the government, district administration and departments would make grievance redressal more effective and directed that public interest matters be handled with sensitivity and accountability so that citizens receive time-bound services.
On this occasion, players from Uttarakhand who had won medals at the 9th Heroes International Taekwondo Championship-2026 also met the CM. The competition was held from 31 July to 2 August 2026 at Pattaya, Chonburi, Thailand. Uttarakhand’s Mannu Sonkar, Shivani Dabsa, Mohammad Zaki and Mukul won gold medals, while Megha Sharma and Dhananjay Dhariwal secured bronze medals. The Chief Minister congratulated all medal winners on their achievement and wished them a bright future. Among those present on the occasion were Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey, Garhwal Commissioner Anand Swarup, Additional Secretary JC Kandpal, Dehradun District Magistrate Dr Ashish Chauhan, SSP Pramendra Dobal and officials of the CM’s Office.
