Dehradun, 28 Sep: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today attended the broadcast of the 126th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ at Parvati Prema Jagati Saraswati Vihar Maidan in Birbhatti in Nainital. He described the programme as a transformative initiative that instils a fresh mindset and steers the nation towards a constructive and positive direction.

After the PM’s talk, the CM asserted that through ‘Mann Ki Baat’, the PM has successfully established a direct emotional and ideological connection with the person standing most distant in society. He emphasised that the PM has consistently highlighted the efforts and dedication of persons and organisations engaged in public welfare, bringing their stories to the forefront of national consciousness.

In this particular episode, the Prime Minister spoke of the collective resolve to honour ‘Nari Shakti’ (women’s power) and to embrace Swadeshi, encouraging the use of indigenous products as a mark of self-reliance and national pride.

The CM further reminded that PM Modi has called upon citizens to adopt Khadi and Swadeshi on Gandhi Jayanti, observed on 2 October. He urged the public to purchase at least one Khadi item on that day and to share their contribution on social media using the hashtag #VocalForLocal. Echoing this sentiment, the CM further appealed to the people of Uttarakhand to actively participate in this campaign and support the movement towards economic self-sufficiency.

He also mentioned Modi’s tribute to India’s daughters who etched a new chapter in history by completing the challenging 47,500-kilometre Navika Sagar Parikrama voyage. The PM’s remarks underline the importance of promoting innovation through locally produced goods and services. Dhami reiterated that the resolutions laid out by the Prime Minister to realise the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) are collective goals that demand unified effort and commitment from every citizen.

Among those present at the event included Domeshwar Sahu, RSS Prant Pracharak Dr Shailendra, Dr Narendra Singh Bhandari, MLA, Nainital, Sarita Arya, MLA, Bhimtal, Ram Singh Kaira, BJP District President Pratap Bisht, Dr Anil Dabbu, Shanti Mahra, Commissioner, Kumaon, Deepak Rawat, IG, Kumaon, Riddhim Aggarwal, District Magistrate Vandana, other dignitaries and members of the public.
