New Delhi, 21 Sept: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a courtesy call on Home Minister Amit Shah, here, on Wednesday. In this meeting, which lasted for about an hour, Dhami apprised Shah in detail about the natural disasters that had struck various places in the state in the recent past and the disaster management, relief and rescue operations carried out in those areas. The issue of police modernisation was also discussed between the two leaders.
The meeting was held between Dhami and Shah on Wednesday at around 3 p.m. This meeting lasted for about an hour. Giving details of the meeting, Chief Minister Dhami said that there was a lot of discussion regarding the development of the state. In particular, he informed Shah about the damage caused by natural disasters in the state. Shah assured him that the Central Government stood firmaly with the people of Uttarakhand in happiness and sorrow and would continue to do so.
