Dhami, U’khand Cabinet condole demise of Maharashtra Dy CM Ajit Pawar

Dehradun, 28 Jan: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today expressed deep sorrow over the untimely demise of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in an aircraft accident in Maharashtra today. Terming the incident heart-wrenching, the CM reminded that Pawar was known for his compassion, sensitivity and steadfast commitment to the welfare of the most marginalised sections of society.

Following the cabinet meeting, the CM spoke informally with the media persons at the Secretariat and offered prayers for eternal peace to all the departed souls in the crash and for strength to the bereaved family members, the colleagues and the supporters to endure this irreparable loss.

In a solemn gesture of respect, the Uttarakhand Cabinet, meeting held today under the chairmanship of the CM, observed two minutes of silence to pray for the peace of those who lost their lives in the aviation tragedy. In addition, the state administration also joined in mourning the veteran leader, recalling his dedicated service to public life and his enduring contribution to governance.
