Dehradun, 17 Dec: Doon Global School successfully hosted its highly anticipated Annual Sports Day on Tuesday. The event was a resounding success, showcasing the school’s commitment to fostering a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence.

Present were two distinguished Chief Guests, Amit Sinha, IPS (Special Principal Sports Secretary) and Manish Agarwal (RO, CBSE). The chief guests praised the school’s efforts in promoting sports and physical education. Along with this, Editor and Publisher of Garhwal Post, Satish Sharma, was the Guest of Honour.


The programme began with torch lighting by Chairperson Vinita Agarwal, Chairman Ankit Agarwal, and Principal Cdr Monika Pande. Thereafter, the annual sports day commenced with a majestic March Past ceremony led by NCC cadets under the guidance of Head Boy Samarth Thapa, and Head Girl Vasundhra Gaur. The sports competition was started by the Chief Guest by releasing balloons in the air. “We are thrilled to host our annual sports day, which is an integral part of our school’s curriculum,” said Cdr Pande. “This event not only promotes physical fitness and sportsmanship but also fosters teamwork, discipline and perseverance among our students.” The event concluded with distribution of prizes to the winners, followed by a closing ceremony. The school’s sports day was attended by guests, parents and teachers, who cheered on the students and celebrated their achievements.
