DEHRADUN, 18 Feb: Another son of Doon, Major Vibhuti Dhaundiyal, laid down his life for the nation in the Pulwama encounter that took place, today. He was 31 years old and a resident of Dangwal Road, here.
His father, the late Om Prakash Dhaundiyal, had retired from the CD, Air Force. He passed away in 2012. Major Dhaundiyal was married in 2017 and his wife, Nitika Kaul, is a Kashmiri Pandit. Her family lives in Delhi.
When news came in of the tragedy, his mother, Saroj, who is a heart patient, was not immediately informed till the return of Nitika.
Major Dhaundiyal had visited home two months ago. He was the only son and had three sisters.
