Dehradun, 16 May: Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal has sought suggestions from the public on the State Budget 2022-23 to be presented at the next assembly session likely to be held in Gairsain. In a statement issued, today, Aggarwal said that representatives from different sectors ought to make their plans available to the government through email at uttarakhandbudget@gmail.com and also give suggestions at the given e-mail address. Apart from this, other citizens can also provide suggestions on the development of the state via email.
He said that that everyone’s relevant suggestions would be included in the budget, so that a good budget could be provided for the development of the state.
It may be recalled that this being an assembly election year for Uttarakhand, only a Vote on Account was tabled and passed in the last assembly session held soon after the elections. A full scale state budget is likely to be tabled before the House sometime in July when the next session of the state assembly is held. It remains to be seen, however, if the budget session will be held in Gairsain as had been announced by the government or in Dehradun.
Agarwal said that the budget for the year 2022-23 would be the budget of the common person. This could be ensured only when suggestions from every section of society, people of every region, those associated with small scale industries, housewives, etc., were received and examined. He said that the people of the state would play an important role in making the budget.
Aggarwal added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had declared the current decade would be that of Uttarakhand. This year would also be a good year for tourism, education, employment, etc., for Uttarakhand in all areas, Aggarwal claimed.
