Governor lauds Bharat Gyan Samagam

ROORKEE, 10 Feb: Governor Lt-General Gurmit Singh (Retd) participated as the Chief Guest in the ‘Bharat Gyan Samagam-2024′ programme under the Vikas Bharat Abhiyan at COER University on Saturday. Vice-Chancellors of more than 50 universities, Principals and educationists of more than 400 educational institutions from 20 states across the country participated in the Bharat Gyan Samagam. The Governor honored the educationists for their excellent work in the field of education and also released the souvenir of the function.
In his address  the Governor praised the COER University for organizing this unprecedented event. He said that organizing this event will give a new direction to our society and knowledge-science. He said that the true reflection of the achievements of any country are the educational institutions located in that country. Our rich education system has played an important role in the prosperity of India. He stated that  this is the right time for universities to move forward through study, research and dedication. It is time for us to hone our universities and transform them into world-class educational institutions by aligning them with higher standards and philosophies at the international level. He said that educational institutions have to play an important role in contributing to the development of the country. The Governor further said that universities have a very important role in shaping the future of our youth pursuing education. He said that universities should prepare such skilled youth who are not job seekers but employment providers. He said that with the help of these youth we will be able to achieve the goal of Vishwa Guru and Vishwa Bharat.
Lt-General Singh said that teachers have an important role in building society.  He called upon the academicians present to groom the youth of the coming Amritkaal generation with their experiences. He called upon the academicians to contribute in taking India to new heights with their Ganga of knowledge.
The Governor expressed confidence that this conference will be an important step towards a strong and prosperous India.
Chancellor JC Jain of COER University remarked, “The aim of the conference was to share ideas and better prepare for education. Experts discussed various aspects of the new education plan, including the integration of different disciplines, innovation, technology, and business ventures. This marks the first time that a private university has organized such a program. Educators excelling in the field of education were honored with Lifetime Achievement and Recognizable Awards at the conference.”
Renowned international writer and motivational speaker Shiv Khera, former Chairman of Public Service Commission, Prof JMS Rana also voiced their views. COER University Chancellor JC Jain, Founder Sunita Jain, Pro Vice Chancellor Shreyansh Jain and many educationists were present. Gesu Thakur and  Manish Kumar Mathur, the chief organizer, highlighted the conference’s aim to foster idea exchange and formulate strategies for educational enhancement.
