DEHRADUN, 10 Feb: The People for People Foundation India (PPFI) organised a Toy and Clothes donation drive for kids on Saturday. PPFI was formed in January this year and to kick-start with their objective of helping children and women. Primarily, among other interests, the team decided to go for this campaign.
“The campaign is divided into two phases-Collection and Distribution. On Saturday we hosted this event to collect the maximum number of clothes and toys possible to donate them all in Phase 2 of this drive– which is distribution. We are overwhelmed with the response we are receiving. The collection and footfall alone exceeded my expectations. My team and I are ecstatic,” said Pankhuri Sharma Joshi, founder of PPFI.
Hosting the event alongside her was Raj Joshi (Member), Vismita Nagalia (Volunteer) and Adv Bhawna Chaudhary (BJP Activist and Social Worker).The event concluded with cartons full of clothes, blankets, toys and books. PPFI members will sift through the stuff and segregate them on the basis of age and gender. It will then be distributed in slums along side Bindal River, Gabbar Basti and a village behind Salawala.
