On this occasion, the Chief Minister has also paid obeisance on behalf of the people of the state to former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna awardee Atal Vihari Vajpayee, who had laid a strong foundation of industrialisation of Uttarakhand along with the formation of the state.

In his message to the people, Chief Minister Dhami claimed that Uttarakhand is moving towards rapid development with the blessings of the great people of the state, the strong will of the government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s special attachment to Uttarakhand and the cooperation of the Union Government.

The Chief Minister added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a spiritual attachment to Uttarakhand and the people of Uttarakhand. The development works in the state are being carried on in Kedarnath Dham and Badrinath Dham. He reminded that the Chardham were not only the centre of faith and reverence but also the foundation of the economy of the state. This year, more than 45 lakh devotees came to visit the Chardham and Hemkund Sahib. This number was 35 percent more than before the Corona period.

Its impact would be visible in the form of social and economic development of the state in the coming time. Work is being done at a fast pace in the construction of roads in the state. For this, the full cooperation of the Union Road Transport Ministry is being provided. Today, the state has come a long way in the field of air connectivity.

The Chief Minister added that, on 21 October, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while appreciating the local products of the state, had appealed to the people to spend at least 5 percent of the amount they spent on visiting their places of travel to buy local products. Crores of people visit the state every year on tourism and pilgrimage. The local products purchased by them would strengthen the economy of the people as well as establish their identity in the country and the world. He said that Uttarakhand getting 45.33 acres of land belonging to HMT at Ranibagh (Nainital) was another big gift of the double engine government for the state. Strict legal action is being taken against the scamsters in the recruitment case. In order to conduct the examinations with transparency, the government had transferred the recruitment from the Uttarakhand Subordinate Commission to the State Public Service Commission. According to the recruitment calendar released at present, the recruitment process is going on for 7 thousand posts.

While, on the one hand, we are proud of our state, on the other hand, we also feel great responsibility. Our government has resolved to make Uttarakhand a leading state in every field by 2025.”
