Champawat, 15 Jan: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today asserted that the state government would soon enact the country’s strictest anti-cheating law.

Dhami was speaking to the media in Champawat today. He added that a decision to this effect had been taken in the last cabinet meeting. Under this law, provision of life sentence would be made for the criminals. Along with this, provisions would also be included to confiscate the property of those guilty of paper leaks related to recruitment examinations. The candidates found indulging in this would be disqualified from appearing in any examination for the next 10 years.

The Chief Minister emphasised that the system is under a major overhaul in this regard. Those involved in rigging the examinations had been brought to book and strict action had also been taken against them. Earlier, the irregularities in the examinations were not detected at all. Even if detected, no action was taken. But the government had now sent the trouble makers to jail, and demolished their properties. The intelligence network is also being strengthened by extending the informers network. It was due to this that the rigging is now being detected and o the wrongdoers are being caught without delay. The government would not allow any injustice to the youth. No one would be able to escape after committing the crime.
