Dehradun, 6 Jul: The Grand ‘Mangal Pravesh’ of Acharya Saurabh Sagar Maharaj, the inspiration for Jeevan Asha Hospital, was celebrated with great devotion and splendour here today.

The Mangal Pravesh commenced with a ‘padyatra’ from Rispana Bridge, proceeding through Dharampur, Araghar, Race Course Chowk, and culminating at the Shri Digambar Jain Panchayati Temple and Jain Bhawan, Prince Chowk.

Throughout the route, members from various Jain organisations—such as Jinvani Jagrati Manch, Jain Milan Central Executive, Women Zone, Adi-Anadi Division, Digambar Jain Mahasamiti, Jain Mandir Majra, Subhash Nagar, Prabhu Samarpan Samiti, and Mahakal Seva Samiti—extended a grand welcome to the Acharya with traditional rituals like ‘pad prakshalan’ (feet washing), aarti, rangoli, tableaux, and flower showers at different locations.

The atmosphere was spiritually charged with devotional music performances by bhajan troupes from Delhi and other cities, filling the air with divine melody and devotion.

Upon reaching Jain Bhawan, the Acharya was ceremoniously welcomed by the Varshayog Samiti and Jain Samaj Dehradun. Also present were Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal and Vishal Gupta (Co-Conveyer, BJP Nikay Prakosht) as Special Guests.

The Acharya inspired and uplifted the spirits of all present with his powerful blessings and motivating discourse.

The event began with a Mangalacharan presented by Jain Milan Pragati, followed by a captivating welcome song performance by the Saurabh Sagar Balika Manch. The spiritual ambience was further elevated by the unveiling of a portrait of Lord Mahavir Swami and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.

A large number of devotees from Rishikesh, Sardhana, Meerut, Delhi, Muzaffarnagar and Ghaziabad were also present to witness and participate in this sacred occasion, reported Madhusachin Jain, Media Coordinator, Jain Samaj.
