Mussoorie, 23 Dec: Due to the continuous dip in temperatures, here, the sources of water and the artificial lake at the Municipal Garden have been freezing up. The upper layer of thick frozen water at the garden lake can be seen in the early morning.
Workers at Municipal Lake have to break the ice to operate their boats there. The water in the lake and artificial waterfalls in Company Garden have also started to freeze. A thick blanket of frost can be seen on the hillsides. Although tourists in Mussoorie are enjoying the weather, locals are facing difficulties as the dip in temperature has affected their daily activities.
Tourist Surendra Bajwa, Rajinder Pathak and Satish Chand said they were enjoying the chill in Mussoorie. They had also visited the frozen over lake and artificial fall. They also asked tourists coming to Mussoorie to bring warm clothes with them, as the weather is very cold in morning and evening time.
