Law College Dehradun bids farewell to Seniors

Dehradun, 19 Apr: Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University, gave an emotional farewell party to the final year students of BA-LLB, BBA-LLB, LLB and LLM. Anuradha Joshi, Vice-Chairperson of Uttaranchal University, was present as the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Prof (Dr) NK Joshi, Vice Chancellor, Dr Abhishek Joshi, Director, Student Affairs & IT Services, and Rajeev Sharma, Secretary of the College, were present as the other guests on the occasion. The programme was inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamps, followed by a powerful ‘Bharat Natyam’ performance by Prithvi Raj and Prasansha Shah.
Then began a series of performances. At the outset, Twinkle Toes comprising Meghna, Spreeha, Simran, Rushali, and Renu gave a mesmerising dance performance. A duet dance performance by Nitish and Keshav was vibrant and lifted the spirits of the audience. Following this, the outgoing students were invited on the stage for a Ramp Walk to show-case their talents and exhibit awesome attire. Sincerely Offbeat, a Bollywood dance performance by Azmeen and Group rocked the stage. The next treat was a song dedicated to the passing out batch by Shrishtee and Shantanu. Other performances, including contemporary dance, swing squad and Bhangra spellbound the audience. Last but not the least, the final year students continued dancing to the tunes of the DJ as if, they wanted to hold on to every moment of their outgoing campus life.
Proud achievers of the year 2019 were Sheva Khan, Aanchal, Vaishnavi Rawat, Tanyaa Manucha, Geetika Bhatia, Mantasha Rafiq, Aanchal Yadav, Mona Bhatt and Shweta Chaudhary. They were handed over trophies and certificates as recognition of their outstanding academic performance by the Vice Chairperson Anuradha Joshi.
Principal Dr Rajesh Bahuguna stated that 369 Law Students were now entering their professional careers, this year, while 15 students had completed their post-graduation. “A majority of passing-out students are planning to prepare for the judicial services while a significant percentage of these students are aiming for higher education, while a few have already been placed with a handsome salary.”
Those present on the occasion included Director SA & IT Services, Dr Abhishek Joshi, Jagdish Joshi, Beena Bahuguna, Rajeev Sharma, Rajeev Kukreti, Dr Rajesh Bahuguna, Dr SK Shah, Dr Ajay Singh, Dr Mukesh Bora, Dr Poonam Rawat, Dr Prabha Lama, Dr Anil Dixit, Dr Jitender Singh, faculty members and hundreds of students of Law College, Dehradun.
