DEHRADUN, 29 Nov: Continuing with its efforts to beautify the city, Doon based student activist group ‘Making a Difference by Being the Difference’ (MAD by BTD) conducted a wall transformation drive at Parade Ground. The activity began on Sunday, and took three days to complete.
Dehradun is known for its delicious momos, which are available in abundance at several fast-food joints in the city. To highlight the experience of savouring the momos with chai, along with feasting the eyes on the scenic views of the hills from the city, the volunteers painted momos, with the hills in the background. Around 15 volunteers participated in this activity. As the schools are on, the children took out time to complete this mural before and after their school hours. The onlookers appreciated the efforts of the volunteers and offered help as well.
MAD intends to paint the periphery of Parade Ground with such murals, highlighting the spirit of Dehradun. The activity was coordinated by Karan Kapoor. Others present during the activity were Shreya Singh Rohilla, Sharad Maheshwari, among others. Making a Difference by Being the Difference (MAD by BTD) is a student activist group working towards social and environmental change ever since its inception in 2011.
