Dehradun, 24 Sep: The state will expand medical services, especially in the hill areas and along travel routes. Instructions have been given to departmental officials to promptly prepare the Detailed Project Reports (DPR) for blocks where hospitals are to be upgraded to sub-district hospitals.
At a review meeting today, Health and Medical Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat emphasised the need to fill all the vacant positions for ANMs, CHOs, and nursing officers. He mentioned that the recruitment process for approximately 632 positions is underway, with plans to fill nursing and CHO positions from the existing waiting list.
The meeting also addressed the timely supply of medicines and equipment, reducing the response time of the 108 emergency service, and ensuring better health services.
Present at the meeting were Health Secretary Dr R Rajesh Kumar, NHM Mission Director Swati Bhadauria, Additional Health Secretary Anuradha Pal, DG, Health, Dr Tara Arya, Director, Health, Sunita Tamta, and other departmental officials.
